Canadian Coin CheckList Compiled Courtesy of www.marcusebarnes.com June 12, 2009 The purpose of this checklist is to help you identify coins that may be worth more than face value. This checklist will be of use to people who process coins in their jobs (e.g., coin operated machine operators) or for metal-detectorists and coin-shooters. Actual values of coins change depending on what is valued by collectors and on the condition of the coins. Items on the checklist are likely to be worth more than face-value and should be put aside for further investigation and valuation. General Rule: Anything out of the ordinary should be put aside for further investigation.
