I recently added the chest expander from LifeLine USA to my fitness equipment arsenal and I’ve been very happy with the results. In the following YouTube video, Mike Gillette gives a quick demonstration of the chest expander from LifeLine USA and how he uses it to help gain (functional) strength:
Mike’s point about timed pulls (holds) is important — you’ll gain way more strength from using the chest expander if you do this in addition to just doing reps. Also, you’ll notice that Mike only had two pieces of tubing in place. When I first got my chest expander, I was reluctant to change the tubing. However, three tubes might be too much resistance to start. So try taking off one or two of the tubes (easy to do) and then work your way up to 3 tubes of the various color tubes.
If you’re looking for specific instruction on how to get the most from your chest expander from LifeLine USA, Matt Furey has a DVD available called European Strand-Pulling Challenge Instructional Video. I have not yet seen the DVD, but I’ve been happy with other information products I’ve purchased from Matt Furey, including “How To Eliminate Carpal Tunnel Syndrome Pain Within 30 Days” and “Combat Conditioning” (which shows you how to use body weight exercises to gain strength-endurance). If you have a copy of the DVD, please share your thoughts about it in the comments section of this post.
You can find the chest expander on LifeLine USA‘s website.
A word of warning for those ordering in Canada — you may be hit with a border charge. I definitely was – so take this extra cost into consideration when ordering directly from LifeLine USA. I’m currently not aware of any Canadian distributors of LifeLine USA’s products. If you know of any, please share in the comments section of this post.
